Sinne Eeg & Thomas Fonnesbæk

I et unikt samarbejde optræder Sinne Eeg og Thomas Fonnesbæk i en musikalsk sammensætning bestående af kontrabas og sang, hvilket de to musikere udnytter optimalt. Det bliver sprødt og blødt, så englene synger, og der venter publikum en stor og overraskende koncertoplevelse, når  duoen går på scenen.

Umiddelbart lyder bas og sang måske som en lidt sjov sammensætning, men netop denne skaber luft i musikken og giver dermed spillerum for begge musikeres store kreativitet og spontanitet.

Thomas Fonnesbæk, bassist i verdensklasse, formår med sin virtuositet at skabe et spændende og medrivende, rytmisk og harmonisk grundlag for Sinne Eeg’s ligeledes virtuose sang. Det er en meget krævende musikalsk sammenhæng, som Eeg og Fonnesbæk udnytter optimalt. Man vil således høre begge musikeres musikalitet komme maksimalt til udtryk.

De to musikere har spillet sammen over længere tid og udgav I 2015 DCen “Eeg-Fonnesbæk”, som de modtog en Danish Music Award for. I juli 2021 udgav duoen albummet “Staying In Touch”.

Sinne Eeg har modtaget bl.a. Dronning Ingrids Hæderslegat, Ben Webster Prisen, DR Jazz Prisen, Holstebro Kommunes Musikpris, 4 gange Danish Music Award samt en af Europas mest prestigefyldte jazzpriser “Palmares”, da de franske jazzkritikere valgte albummet “Face The Music” som “Årets internationale vokaludgivelse 2014”. Hun tounerer massivt  I bl.a. Skandinavien, USA, Japan, Kina og Frankrig.

Thomas Fonnesbæk er en af Danmarks dygtigste kontrabassister. Mange vil kende ham fra hans virtuose samarbejder med blandt andre pianisterne Enrico Pieranunzi, Justin Kauflin, Lars Jansson og Thomas Clausen.

Han vandt guldmedalje ved Berlingske Musikkonkurrence i 1997. Var frem til 2001 medlem af Poul Reimanns Trio som bl.a. vandt 2. præmie ved European Jazzcontest i 1999 og 3. præmie ved Nordens Talent 1999.
Han har arbejdet sammen ned navne som Søs Fenger, Caroline Henderson, Sinne Eeg, Mona Larsen, Hans Ulrik, Alex Riel, Karsten Bagge, Jonas Jeberg, Jacob Fischer, Kristian Jørgensen, Enrico Pieranunzi, Justin Kauflin, Christian Sands, Paulo Russo, Ulf Wakenius, Thomas Agergaard, Simon Spang-Hanssen, Jørgen Emborg, Nikolai Bentzon, DR-bigband og Tivolis Bigband.
